Ronnie Souders, Jr. To Make Return At Motor Mile
July 4, 2010 - Salem, Ohio - Team Release - Ronnie Souders, Jr. will be making his return to the USARacing Pro Cup Series on July 17th at Motor Mile Speedway. After motor issues knocked the Williams Motorsports Chevy out of competition at New Smyrna Speedway, the team has been working hard to get the car back to the track. "I am really looking forward to getting the Auto Carpet Professionals Impala back to the track. We have made some changes, and we are ready to return to this series. I have a lot of fun racing with these guys out here, and I have missed the competition," said Souders, Jr. Ronnie has two previous starts at the Radford, Va. trace track, and is very comfortable with the track. Along with Auto Carpet Professionals, WMS would not be making it's return without the help of Ironclad Performance Wear, Buckeye Welders, Bell Helmets, and Rhine Enterprises. |

About Ronnie Souders Jr.
Ronnie S.Souders, Jr. is 27 years of age. Born in Florida, Ronnie spent most ofhis adolescent life in Freedom, Pennsylvania and now resides in Beloit, Ohio. At the age of 3, soaring down a small mountain on a 10-speed bike without training wheels, Ronnie realized that he had a love for speed. While attending Big Knob Elementary School, his love for sports and racing grew. While being an aggressive wrestler for the Freedom Bulldogs, his commitment and showmanship to the sport was obvious, but his thoughts were never far from racing.
At the urging of his father, Ronald L. Souders, Ronnie Jr. climbed behind the wheel of a go-kart at age 10 for his very first race. His love for racing developed into a passion that continues to this day. At this timealso, Ronnie and his family began to be involved in Motor Racing Outreach (MRO), a non-profit organization founded in 1988 to serve the NASCAR racing community. Efforts and resources are directed towards four opportunities of ministry:
- touring series ministry
- fan outreach and evangelism
- in-homes and race shop discipleship
- and the development of the Motor Racing Outreach Association.
After four championship-winning seasons, the father and son partnership moved on to Legends Cars. Ronnie continued to grow, learn, and excel racing the Legends Cars.During all of his success, he remained true to himself and his community. The father and son duo yearly donated time, effort, and their car for the Mark Collie Celebrity Race for Diabetes Cure.During this time, Ronnie was also an avid member of Evangel Baptist Church where he was a youth leader for teens. Being a positive role model for his community has always been important to Ronnie.Deciding to make racing his career, Ronnie and Souders Motorsports moved to a Modified asphalt car, and yet again to the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series. Ronnie knew this would be tough, but he was up for the challenge.
